To create a new coupon, click on to the upper right in the coupon overview.
To navigate through the coupon setup, you can click on these icons .
This is the name of the coupon. Make sure that this is a simple and descriptive name that makes it easier to find it again later.
The name will become the title that is being previewed in some of the recipients SMS-clients and the title on the webpage for the coupon.
This field can be filled with information or notes. This is for your reference only.
- Date valid
Sets the time frame the coupon is active. You can still send a coupon before it is active (the recipients will see when the coupon becomes active).
- Redeem count
The amount of times a single coupon can be redeemed.
- Add coupon to booklet
If you wish to add the coupon to an existing booklet, you can check this box and choose the booklet you want it to become a part of. If the booklet has not been made yet, you can still do this later. Either from this same place or from the booklet settings.
- Optional information (for statistics purpose only)
From here you can fill in information about the coupon that you can use later for statistics. This will not affect the coupon.
After you have finished the setup, you can click on . You can come back later through to commit further changes.
After the coupon has been saved and given a name, you can click on . On this page you choose the content on the coupon and how it is going to look like.
- Select layout
Here you choose whether the image should cover a whole coupon or half of it.
- Select logo to be displayed in coupon
Here you can upload a preferred logo to be showed on the header of the coupon. The image can be up to 500kb in size, JPG, GIF or PNG. The ideal height is 108px.
- Select image for coupon
Here you can upload a preferred image to be showed in the coupon. The image can be up to 2mb in size, JPG, GIF or PNG. The ideal size for a half-image is 1200px x 600 px.
- Background color
Find a fitting background color for the header and coupon, if preferred.
- If you click on , you can adjust the look and text for the 'redeem' button in the coupon. You can choose text, color for the text and background color for the button.
- If you click on , you can adjust the warning message and the alternatives that are visible before you redeem the coupon.
Many of these settings can be pre-defined in the default settings.
This button shows all your edit options in the preview. Click on the button if you want to edit rebate, title or main information. If you don't change the placeholder content in the preview, it will be remain in the final coupon.
You can send a test-SMS to a preferred number to see how the coupon will look like. On this page you will have to click on before you test. If not, the test will not show your most recent changes.
When a coupon is ready for sending, you can click on .
If the coupon is a part of a booklet, this option will be blocked because the sending should come from the booklet settings. You can alternatively duplicate the coupon in the coupon overview if you wish to create a similar or identical standalone coupon.
- SMS and In-App messaging
Choose ”SMS” as distribution channel. If you wish to insert the coupon to an app (if you have one), choose ”In-App messaging”
From here you choose one or multiple segments you want to send to. Use the drop-menu to choose from any existing segment or group.
- Name this sending
Write a name that the sending gets given in the sending's overview page and your reports.
- Date and time
Select the time and date you would like the sending to be sent out. *We send our sendings every 5th minute. Therefor, you can only set a time where the minute counter ends on 0 or 5.
Choose sender ID. This is the name that the recipients gets told they've got a message from. Sender ID automatically appears when you have chosen a segment. It is optional if you want to change this.
- SMS message
Write SMS content. Merge fields are lines that you can insert to the SMS message which automatically change themselves to for example the recipients name or address, dependent on whether the information is added to the recipients in their "groups". We advice that you don't edit a merge field, because it needs to be formatted correctly to work.
When almost everything is set and ready, you can click on . This adds a merge field which tells where the coupon URL should be in the SMS. If you don't do this, the recipients will not get access to the coupon.
- Send a test SMS
You can send a test-SMS to a preferred number to see how the coupon will look like. On this page you don't need to save before testing.
When the coupon is ready for sending, you can click on . Your message is now ready for sending and you're not required to do anything more. If you want to commit edits before or after the sending is out, you can still do this.
NB! If you edit a sent coupon, the edits will also be launched to the already sent coupons. A coupon can not be a part of a booklet if it has already been sent alone. Then you will have to duplicate it by clicking on this button in the coupon overview.
